Many vital decisions are based on the number of guests who will be attending a wedding and it is therefore very important and polite to confirm one’s attendance as soon as they can to make work easier for planners. Once attendance has been confirmed, ensure that if the card does not include guest plus one, no dates are brought to the wedding.
It is also important for a wedding guest to send a gift to the newlyweds. The gifts can sometimes help the newlyweds start their married lives better but it is also a simple act of courtesy for the guest. If for some reason an invited guest is unable to attend the wedding, they should ensure that they send a gift to show that they appreciate the thought that the newlyweds put in requesting their presence at the wedding.
Alcohol can be another source of embarrassment and it should therefore be consumed in moderation. Guests should show the newlyweds that they are happy for them but they should not embarrass them while doing it.
