Hair Care Tips
We all love to have healthy hair. No matter whether it is short or long.
General Tips
- Water is important for healthy skin and as well as for hair, so drink lots of water.
- While washing the hair, do not use hot water. This may dry the scalp. So use either lukewarm water or cold water. A good conditioner shampoo or herbal shampoo can be used for washing. While drying hair, leave it to dry naturally. If using hair drier keep it at a distance, maximum avoid using hair driers.
- Always tie your hair only after drying. Because wet hair may develop dandruff. It also accumulates dirt.
- Use big teeth comb. Comb your hair starting from the top of the head and run through the hair downwards. Keep seperate combs for everyone in the family. Always have tangle free hair.
Tangles
If you have more tangles after wash, better comb your hair neatly using some hair oil before washing and then shampoo your hair.
You can also apply baby oil for removing tangles in hair. Rub a few drops of baby oil on the tangles and then use a big teeth comb through the knots.
Healthy Hair
To maintain healthy hair, take an egg white (one or two) depending on your hair, Squeeze half lemon and beat it nicely for 5 to 10 minutes. Apply it to the roots of hair. Leave it for one hour and then wash your hair using shampoo. This makes your hair shiny and as well as smooth. You can do it twice in a week or atleast once in a week to keep your hair healthy. It also controls hair fall.
Gentle massage of daily 10 minutes is good for hair. You can use coconut oil ,almond oil or any hair oil for massaging. It will increase the blood circulation and helps hair growth.
Do not change your hair oil often. Use one that suits your hair.

Hair fall - Reasons
There are various reasons for hair fall. Some may be genetic or any of the following;
If water is more salty or it has more chlorine content then hair begins to fall. This is only temporary because once body gets set to it then hair fall will be controlled.
Tension or stress is also a reason for hair fall. Be relaxed and do some meditation or yoga for stress relief.
If you have vitamin deficiency then hair begins to fall. In such a case take lots of vegetables and fruits.
While washing hair do not use hot water. Use either warm water or cold water.
Hair Fall Control
Normally 50 to 70 hairs fall daily. If your hair falls more than this and if you feel it is too weak, then take lots of protein content food such as Dhal, Beans, Egg white, Milk, Yogurt, Nuts, Fish . If you take Channa Dhal (Black or white) twice or thrice in a week, this will also control hair fall.
Taking two or three servings of fruits and vegetables will supply the required nutrients to the hair and control hair fall.
Onion is also good for hair. If you have small onions, grind it and apply to the roots of hair. This too controls hair fall.
Egg white will control hair fall. Beat one egg white nicely and apply to the roots of hair.
Soak some fenugreek seeds for 2 hrs and then grind it, apply it to the roots of hair. This will control hair fall.
